There are two things that can make my hours disappear:
Singing has been a part of my life since I was very young. It's something I enjoy immensely
Also going back to around age 6 is computing and programming. I begged my parents for a computer and my father, an IBMer, was able to get an IBM PCjr from work
I remember that book!
This computer found me learning the very BASICs of programming, setting up a Packet radio station, and yes, playing a few old games.
Mostly, it sparked an interest that sustained me into High School and AP Computer Science (aka the last time I used PASCAL). That interest followed me into URI's College of Engineering, internships coding C, and a first job as a System Test Engineer at Lucent Technologies. My background saw me writing various tools to make my job easier.
I've grown since that first full time job. One thing I seem to enjoy is translating between project management and engineering and easing or automating that communication with tools like Jira. I'm a good listener, but communication with tools means traceability! I'll be talking a lot more about tech in my resume sections.
If you look me up elsewhere you'll probably find rabbits. The bunny pictured here is Dahlia, my roommate. She also listens well.
You'll also find out that I'm transgender. The important thing to know is that my pronouns are she/her. The other important part is that I'm a spectacular engineer. That latter part is what will affect your company, hop-fully in very positive ways.
